I've recently become interested in this particular conflict as a subject for a work of fiction. Most particularly the character of Laskarina Boboulina (sp?).

Basically the idea is an historical adventure novel featuring the descendants of the ancient Amazons. Laskarina Boboulina is a natural tie-in to that idea, along with early feminist writer Mary Wollstonecraft, a good friend of Lord Byron.

I'm just fishing for thoughts along these lines. Suggestions, criticisms or insight are all very welcome.
